TOPAZ is a semi precious stone,which is made of Silicate mineral. Topaz is crystallized in the Orthorhombic system. This is birthstone for the month of November. It is one of the hardest naturally occurring mineral which Moh's scales hardness is "8" and it is the hardest any silicate mineral. Topaz is easily available in any jewellery store which used in different kind of products. It is found in many different color range but its natural color is a golden Brown to Yellow. A verities of impurities and treatments may make Topaz wine red, Pale gray, Reddish- Orange, Pale green, colorless or Pink. Generally blue topaz is more famous color than any other color of Topaz. Imperial Topaz is most valuable.

 LARGEST WORLD TOPAZ STONE:

The Marbella Topaz another one of the world's largest blue faceted Topaz gems at 8'225 carat. It is also a blue, oval gemstones from Minas Gerais and belong to the spanish programa Royal collection. In the same collection is the 'LUA DE MARABA" Topaz; the largest faceted topazin the world at  25,250 carats. It is a grayish stone with an Octagonal cut.

MAXICO: Many topaz shades are sources from maxico including                     rich orange - brown verities.

BRAZIL: At the Capao mine near Minas Gerais, Imperial Topaz, one of the most rare verities of the gemstones, is mined from the open pit. Imperial topaz can range in hues from a warm orange to a deep rose color.

NIGERIA: Colorless Topaz is mined here are treated to produce in - demand blue topaz. 

Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Australia, India, Namibia and Madagascar also major source of Topaz with different colour.

CURRENT NEWS & UPDATE: 
Geological servey has been revealed deposits of verity of gemstones, gold and diamond in Odisha's Boudh district nearly 200 km from here.However, the volume of gold has not been ascertained the Minister said, Mr. Mallik added that deposits of Topaz, Zircon, Moon stone and agate were also found in Boudh -  Ramgarth area.
